Welcome to Norman, the center of Sooner Pride!

Norman, known for its unpredictable weather and native roots sits just south of the USA crossroads, I-35 and I-40. Home to the University of Oklahoma, Sooner Pride runs deep in the veins of the Norman community, seen in our game day celebrations, hospitable nature and successful sporting events.

Sooner Football is an experience, not just an event. Surround yourself in an atmosphere of victory, pride and tradition with friends this season. Remember to pay homage to one of OU’s most sacred shrines, the Barry Switzer Center – three floors of awards, trophies, murals and sculptures that reflect the drive of our athletes.

One of the most alluring parts of Norman is historic Campus Corner, nestled beside the gardens and halls of OU. From unique boutiques to worldwide cuisine, the 627,000 square feet of hallowed ground on which Campus Corner stands can cater to all your wants and desires. With 47 boutiques and shops and 23 restaurants and nightclubs Campus Corner really is the hot spot in Norman.

The location of Norman is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, with adventure less than an hour away in every direction! Get in gear and test your guts on the mountain bike trails at lake thunderbird or enjoy a horseback ride along the shores. If your looking for a little more than the local zoo, take a safari ride through the 400+ acre park set amidst the beautiful Arbuckle Mountains, with hundreds of wild, exotic and rare animals – most roaming freely in habitats similar to their own.

Relaxation is second nature in the south and Norman is no exception. Pamper yourself at Private Collections Day Spa or unwind with a wine tasting at Michelangelo’s. There is always a new reason to enjoy a day of golf and Norman’s award winning Jimmie Austin Golf Club is the ideal place to celebrate the outdoors and the company of others.

Native Norman can be seen everywhere! From ancient artifacts of the Five Civilized Tribes at the Jacobson House, to ecological woodlands at the Oliver Nature Preserve and local wildlife at the Little River Zoo Norman is conscience of its past and strives to maintain a sustainable community for future generations.

Norman is beyond what you expect. We invite you to discover all that Norman has to offer - the history and arts, cuisine and shopping, children’s fun parks and adult attractions. And all of Oklahoma City at our doorsteps!
